Track Name: Paralyzed
It’s too loud in here.
The best of sounds still hurt my ears.
And it’s too loud to hear.
Voices surround, but I can’t make out the words.

Colors and shapes surround,
Moving, and morphing.
Shifting and spinning around my eyes.
Obscuring sight, blocking out the skies.
I feel paralyzed.

It’s too cold out there.
It hurts to breathe that stabbing air.
And it’s too bright to see.
I’m fatigued by the sound but it’s far too loud to sleep.

Colors and shapes surround,
Moving, and morphing.
Shifting and spinning around my eyes.
Obscuring sight, blocking out the skies.
I feel paralyzed.

Colors and shapes surround,
Moving, and morphing.
Shifting and spinning around my eyes.
Obscuring sight, blocking out the skies.
I feel paralyzed.
I set my feet towards the skyline
Trade distracting sights
For my own distant lights.
Track Name: Just For Tonight
The future once looked so bright
Now it gets dimmer every day
My eyes once burst with color
Now all I see is gray

I don’t hold the world on my shoulders,
But I still feel the weight.
I think we’re doomed
And it only gets worse with age.

Can we pretend just for tonight
That everything will be alright
Even if it’s just a lie
Even if it’s just a lie

Let’s play pretend just for tonight
Tell me everything is fine
Even if you have to lie
We will dance in the ash tonight

I’ve seen things I can’t believe,
And they weigh down on me.
Still I walk these crumbling streets
Pounding pavement with weary feet.

I just want something to call my own,
A place to clear my head.
Still it seems so far away
From the thorny paths I tread.

Can we pretend just for tonight
That everything will be alright
Even if it’s just a lie
Even if it’s just a lie

Let’s play pretend just for tonight
Tell me everything is fine
Even if you have to lie
We will dance in the ash tonight
Track Name: Fortunate
Blurry eyes in a smoky room
Hollow, and empty
Her heart’s pumping quickly
Just like the drum beat

Another chip off of her crown
That’s nothing new
To just turn the lights down
Fade away in the gloom.

Tell me what your world’s like,
How it looks from down below.
Let me see through your eyes,
I just want to know.

Tell me what your world’s like,
Where the streets aren’t paved in gold.
Let me see through your eyes,
I’m too fortunate to know.

I can’t stand this lack of context
Insulated, disconnected
Living in a faulty structure
Blinded by luck, but circled by vultures

I’ve found no bliss in ignorance
What I don’t know makes me restive
Sick of living in my comfort,
I just want some perspective.

Tell me what your world’s like,
How it looks from down below.
Let me see through your eyes,
I just want to know.

Tell me what your world’s like,
Where the streets aren’t paved in gold.
Let me see through your eyes,
I’m too fortunate to know.

I’ll never see you again
You’re gone forever once you go
Can’t help but wonder where you’ve been
I guess I’ll never know

Tell me what your world’s like,
How it looks from down below.
Let me see through your eyes,
I just want to know.

Tell me what your world’s like,
Where the streets aren’t paved in gold.
Let me see through your eyes,
I’m too fortunate to know.
Track Name: Death Masks
Outlive your youth and you’ll die old,
Ashes in the wind.
In every story fully told,
The hero dies at the end.

Our bones are made of glass
We were never meant to last
Our bones are made of glass
We were never meant to last

We fashion death masks of friends and idols.
Silver faces miscast
Imperfect mem’ries of fallen heroes
Shine much brighter in death

We fashion death masks of friends and idols.
That never look quite right.
Fallen heroes shine much brighter
In death than they did in life

Some truths are better left unheard,
Ashes on the lake.
Our youth was dead the day we learned,
Our heroes all were fakes.

Our bones are made of glass
We were never meant to last
Our bones are made of glass
We were never meant to last

We fashion death masks of friends and idols.
Silver faces miscast
Imperfect mem’ries of fallen heroes
Shine much brighter in death

We fashion death masks of friends and idols.
That never look quite right.
Fallen heroes shine much brighter
In death than they did in life

We were never meant to last.

We fashion death masks of friends and idols.
Silver faces miscast
Imperfect mem’ries of fallen heroes
Shine much brighter in death

We fashion death masks of friends and idols.
That never look quite right.
Fallen heroes shine much brighter
In death than they did in life
